Hey everyone! My name is Megan McKenna and I am a senior in Advertising with minors in Sociology and Communication. It's bizarre that I'm actually a senior and have to start looking for jobs soon. I originally wanted to start in the account side of an ad agency but have recently thrown that out the window and am set on event and/or wedding planning as a career. Ultimately I'd like to live in Chicago, but I'll move where ever I have to! My internship this past summer was planning special events for the Champaign Park District, which included planning the Taste of Champaign and our Summer Concert Series. I'm still very interested in the advertising business, but I'm going to follow my dream and try to live downtown Chicago and plan big events and weddings. I'm excited for this class and to work with a real-life client...should be a good experience!
