Absolut recently created a free personal bartending app called Drinkspiration. The app features over 500 drink recipes, and remembers your favorites. When you're looking to try something new, it will suggest something based on your personal taste. Generating these drink recommendations takes less than a second, so using it to order at a bar is easy and convenient.

Drinkspiration is also for home use. You can select ingredients you have on hand and it will recommend a recipe using them. The app features drinks with every type of Absolut as well as gin, rum, brandy, whiskey and tequila. There are also non alcoholic options.

To try a new drink, you can search by taste, color, time of day, weather in your area or type of glass, among other options. It can even measure the volume of the room you're in to recommend a drink for a quiet bar or loud party.

Drinkspiration has a social component, allowing you to link it to your Facebook or Twitter accounts and share drinks with friends. By doing so, you would also be able to see drinks your friends had tried. The "World" tab of the app also shows drinks that people are trying in real time.

Discussion:

1) Could you see yourself using this app?

2) Do you think it's smart for Absolut to feature drinks with different types of alcohol?
