Google has always marketed itself as "providing the best user experience possible" in terms of surfing the Internet. Yesterday, Google announced a new set of Nexus-branded products that rival Apple's collection of smart phones and tablets. The products being introduced are;
The Nexus 4: which is Google's smart phone, Android created by LG. The phone will have Google apps, camera, HD display, wireless charging capabilities, Bluetooth, and WiFi,
The Nexus 7: will have Google Play, 9 hrs HD video, 10 hrs web browsing, 300 hrs stand-by time (less charging necessary), Gesture Typing, WiFi, Google apps, and the Cloud,
The Nexus 10: has the highest resolution display, light weight, Wifi, separate customizable spaces for family sharing, photo editing, 360° panorama camera, video chat (up to 9 friends at once), HD movies and TV.

YouTube: Ask Me Anything
All devices will also be equipped with "Ask Me Anything" technology, which is similar to Apple's Siri technology, of vocalizing questions and commands into the device. Essentially, Google is claiming their products to be similar, yet better than Apple, since they are directly linked through Google software, and sold for a lower cost. Majority of smart phone users use their phones for online purposes such as checking email, surfing the web, Facebook, etc... so my questions are:
1) Do you feel this was smart on Googles part, playing on that they are the leaders in Internet browsing, and therefore making a product that relies upon that brand promise, even when there is a huge competition in this market currently?
2) One thing Google Nexus does not provide is 3G or 4G capabilities. Do you think this will hurt their marketing even if they claim to have better Internet searching, App capabilities and "Ask Me Anything Technology"?
