My name is Kelly Roderick and I am a senior majoring in Advertising and minoring in Sociology. This past summer I had the opportunity to study abroad in Ireland, Scotland and England through the ADV 399 course offered here and was able to see first hand how these countries have branded themselves as tourist attractions throughout the years. During this summer, I also worked as a Production Assistant for the Frontier Management Group, which is an event planning company out of Brookfield, IL. I was able to assist directly with marketing strategies and business development within the Sporting and Special events division. I mostly enjoyed working on the promotional side of things and would love to find a job in sports marketing after I graduate. I am really looking forward to this class and what the rest of senior year has to offer!
